What information do we collect about you and why?

Brights offers intensive training based on Accelerated Learning, to broaden or deepen people's knowledge in various fields. Within the framework of our services, Brights may collect information about you. The information is necessary for us to offer you your education, or to fulfill any of the other purposes for which we have collected the information. For example, sometimes we may need to retain certain information in order to comply with legal requirements.

We also collect certain information when you visit our website through so-called cookies, if you approve it. You can read more about cookies here: www.brights.com/cookies. As a website visitor, you have no obligation to give us access to your information.

How do we access your information?

The information that we have stored about you has either been given to us by yourself or we have received it from your employer, depending on whether you are attending an education on your own or through your employer. If the selection and/or recruitment process has been handled by Academic Work, they will collect your information on behalf of us.

Who will we share your information with?

Sometimes a training is carried out on behalf of our client. The client may be your current or future employer. If our client is responsible for the recruitment process for your training and for your employment, information about you and your participation in the course will be shared with your employer during the training.

In addition, your personal data may be shared with the following external parties:

Companies within our Group - We may sometimes share your information with other companies within the AW Group. This can be done, for example, in connection with the selection and/or recruitment process being carried out by Academic Work on behalf of Brights.

Suppliers - Your personal information will sometimes be shared with our suppliers. For example, there may be providers of IT services for, among other things, storage and operations management, marketing and recruitment tools or personality tests.

Authorities - When national or European law requires it, we may share your information with authorities.

Where is your information handled?

We always do our best to ensure that your personal data is not stored or otherwise handled in countries outside the EU/EEA. If your data is still to be transmitted or handled in countries outside the EU/EEA, we will ensure that we have taken adequate security measures to ensure that your data is handled in a manner that achieves an adequate level of protection in accordance with applicable regulations. What rights do you have?

The data protection legislation gives you several rights when your personal data is processed. Below you will find a short description of them. Your rights may vary depending on why we process your information.

Right to withdraw your consent - In cases where our processing of your data is based on your consent, you always have the right to withdraw your consent. You can easily do this by contacting us.

Right of access - You have the right to receive a confirmation from Brights whether we process personal data related to you and, if this is the case, to obtain information about the processing. You also have the right to request a copy of the personal data we store about you free of charge.

Right to Correction - In some cases, you have the right to require Brights to correct information about you that you consider to be incorrect or incomplete In some cases you have the opportunity to change the information you have entered in your profile page yourself.

Right to object - In some cases, you have the right to object to Brights’ processing of your personal data, including direct marketing. Right of restriction - In some cases, you have the right to request that Brights restricts the processing of your personal data. In that case, you can request a restriction of the processing during the time we evaluate if the personal data is correct. Right to delete - In some cases, you have the right to request that Brights delete your personal information. This applies to the following cases:

  • If the information is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

Please note that we may have an obligation to save your information anyway, for example due to an agreement with you or legal requirements. We will only save your information for this purpose and not use it for any other purpose.

Right to data portability - If we process your personal data with your consent or performance of a contract which you have entered into with us, you have the right to require Brights to disclose the personal data that you have provided to us in a structured format.

Changes to our personal data processing informationWe may change our Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version of the policy will always be available on our website. In the event of more extensive updates (such as changing the purposes for which we process your information or changing what information we collect about you), we will send the new policy to you via the email address you provided for us.
